Anandamath is a Bengali novel written by Bankim Chandra Chatterji, published in 1882. It is a novel that is associated with the more aggressive pre-independence indian nationalistic sentiments and the famous 'vande mataram' song that became the anthem of freedom during india's freedom struggle. The song is today the national song of india. The context of the story is the sannyasi rebellion (of 1700s). At one time banned by the british government, this book is one of the seminal works of indian and bengali literature. the full ebook
