"my name is nick latour, and i have a BA in english literature. i wrote my first novel at the age of twenty-nine. i am unpublished as yet, however things may turn out well for me in the coming year. currently, at age thirty-one, i am hard at work on my second and third novel of literary genre, and three poetry manuscripts. i am a bit of a late bloomer, so to speak. although i have been writing since the age of eight, i discontinued my craft for many years, primarily due to many disheartening rejections, school, and traveling the country gaining life experience. i do not care for the new age of technology, as i prefer the mechanics of yesteryear. i type much of my poetry on my 1968 remington mark II portable manual typewriter. aside from writing, my other interests include creative-photography, painting, sculpture, and whiskey. i look upon the internet as a mere business/research tool, and prefer regular mail to email. so no, i am not a blogger or cyberspace junky. i utilize my time perfecting my craft, while the advice of my grandfather resonates in my ear, “don’t just reach for one star…take them all!”

i reside in the rural country of upstate new york during the summer months, while living out the rest of the year in california and arizona with my financé, white boxer, and the sun at my shoulders.
